After a recent inquiry from a local person who operates as a Maritime Security Officer, away from the UK (non domiciled), I have confirmed there is Mortgage Lending available, subject to certain criteria which of course varies from lender to lender.
Taking in to consideration the normal lending criteria from mortgage lenders, the additional conditions usually need to be met are:
- Spouse or Family member to occupy the property.
- Person to be paid in to a UK bank Account.
- Person to be employed by a UK national company.
- Accounts & SA302′s showing income to support lending if self employed.
- Copy of employment contract & copies of previous contracts to prove history.
Like any mortgage application, the lender will need to see a suitable track record of income to make a decision. The more evidence that can be provided, the easier it is for the lender to make any decision.
With my services being offered online and via webinars etc, this proves to be a supportive option for any one looking to secure a mortgage whilst working abroad as a Maritime, Security person or even merchant seamen.
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this in more detail, or alternatively, complete a Mortgage Inquiry Questionnaire for me, which can be found in the More section of my website under Document Library.
If you wish to provide me with any documents to support your application, you can upload these securely here
