A bit about me. 

For those who want to know a little more about me.... I was Born in Yeovil, 1973 in to a farming family. I spent my time growing up in both the UK & New Zealand, hence my kiwi accent.

My first career move was to join the Royal New Zealand Navy and see the world, 'so they say'. After visiting places like Hong Kong, Singapore, parts of Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand, I decided that I preferred to keep my feet on solid soil.

I was offered the opportunity to return back to the UK to work with my Grandparents in Somerset and then on my Fathers farm in Devon.

In 1995, my Financial Services career, started by becoming an Estate Agent. This was quite an eventful stage of my career as so many agents were changing hands and or closing. First it was Cornerstone Estate Agents who were owned by Abbey National, then Redferns who were bought out by Halifax. It was with Halifax Estate Agents I was asked to consider the position of Mortgage Adviser and without hesitation I accepted the role and have not looked back since.

In the progressing years, I sat my Financial Planning Certificates and Ce-Map exam allowing me to spread my wings if needed be.

Then it happened again... Halifax decided to close their Southwest Branches of the estate agency network, so I then became a Mortgage and Financial Adviser for Bradley's Estate Agents covering the offices in Totnes, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Brixham & Paignton.

In 2002 things changed. My Wife and I decided to take a career break and move back to New Zealand to see if we could settle and live the dream... for two and a half years, we made it work... however my wife's homesickness brought our return to the country.

HSBC was my next move, the life of the bank assurance, working the good old 9-5 and so on, but it just was not for me. 

I decided to take the plunge and become a Self Employed Mortgage Broker being able to help my clients with out the restrictions of a bank... GREAT!!! Looking back, I wish I had gone self employed sooner, but I guess you cant beat the experience of working for different companies, building up your knowledge to do your job even better.

I pride myself on being available to my clients at short notice and I guess you could say on call, If need be, I will also offer out of normal hours business by prior arrangement.
